Kids love songs about animals. There must have been at least one million songs written about going to the zoo or visiting a farm. Lyrics describe the textures of fur and feathers, or the colours of scales and shells, or the shapes of tails and claws, or the sounds of purrs and roars. Children are entertained by songs about animals for many reasons. They are naturally very curious about the creatures with which we share our beautiful blue planet and every child enjoys mimicking the actions and sounds of their favourite feathered or furry friend.
